You are our top priority. Below is information on how Teuscher Dental is handling the coronavirus pandemic. We are open for all dental procedures. If you have any questions, please give us a call!

What You Need to Know

The Illinois Department of Public Health has advised that Illinois Dental practices are fully open for all procedures.

Your well-being is always our top priority. We are committed to be the safest possible office and environment for both our patients and team. For your peace of mind, we’ve listed below some of the changes we have made in light of Coronavirus, and what you can expect to be different at your future appointments. If you had an appointment that was missed due to the quarantine, we will contact you to reschedule. If you have any questions about what you read below, please call us!

What We Are Doing

Teuscher Dental has always utilized personal protective equipment and sanitation procedures that exceed the CDC guidelines. In light of COVID-19 we have instituted additional guidelines and protocols to help ensure everyone’s safety. 

For every appointment at our office:

  • We always use appropriate PPE, including N95 masks, clean gowns, gloves, eye protection, hair covering, and face shields.
  • We will sanitize of each operatory before and after every procedure with medical grade disinfectant wipes and spray, in addition to our new air purification systems
  • Medical Grade HEPA-13 and HEPA-14 air purification systems: These are the most powerful and highest-tier filters that help capture and prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses in the air.
  • We have invested in Ultra Low Volume Foggers to further sanitize our air, equipment and everything else in our operatories. The fogger is 100 times more effective than bleach, but is safe to breathe and is considered a “green” product. 
  • During procedures, we are utilizing healthcare techniques that reduce aerosol production, including high-volume evacuation.
  • We are conducting pre-appointment screenings for all patients, which is available on our website
  • We are taking the temperature of everyone who walks through our doors, including twice-daily measurements of our team members
  • We’ve installed sneeze-guard and droplet barriers in our reception areas
  • All patients will pre-rinse with a 1.5% hydrogen peroxide solution, which is safe for patients and has been clinically shown to be most effective against COVID-19
  • We are implementing a patient flow that maximizes social distancing
  • We’ve reduced the seating and decorations in our office for a clean, minimalistic environment
  • Payment options arranged in advance to allow for contactless exits from appointments
  • Frequent handwashing, before and after every appointment with antibiotic soap

What You Can Expect

Before your appointment

  • Print and bring your completed pre-appointment Patient Screening and Disclosure form, available on our website
  • If possible, arrange payment options with us in advance to avoid personal transaction while at our office
  • Plan on bringing your mask and maximizing social distancing while you are here!
  • When you arrive, stay in your car and call or text us. Bring your mask, and we will meet you at our door and escort you inside.

During your appointment

  • Once inside, you will be escorted to a hand sanitation station, have your temperature taken, and hand in your Pre-Appointment Screening form
  • Once seated, an updated verbal Medical History will be reviewed
  • Hydrogen peroxide pre-procedural rinse
  • Slightly longer appointment times to ensure safety throughout the procedure
  • The same level of highest quality healthcare we have always provided

After your appointment

  • If necessary, a recall appointment will be scheduled while you are still in the operatory
  • You will be escorted to the reception desk, where, if necessary, additional payment or appointment details will be finalized
  • You’ll have the option to receive our “to-go” bag on your way out at our hand sanitation station
