Four Teuscher Dentists, One Practice: Our Family Featured in Kane County Magazine

In the News

Most families argue about where to eat. Ours argues about occlusion.

Kane County Magazine recently ran a story about our practice and how three of Dr. Michael Teuscher's four sons ended up joining him in it. It covers Dr. Michael's nearly four decades in the profession, how the family landed in St. Charles, and the renovation of our building on Campton Crossings Drive.

The piece also mentions the 2026 Best of the Fox results, which we wrote about separately. That one came from our patients, and it still means more to us than anything a profile can say.

But there's a part of the story that's hard to capture in a magazine profile, and it's the part that actually changes your experience as a patient.

What "four dentists under one roof" really means for you

In most practices, a complicated case means a referral. You get a name, a phone number, a new set of paperwork, and a doctor who's meeting you for the first time with none of your history.

Here, a complicated case means we walk down the hall.

Each of us has pushed our training in a different direction:

One patient, one plan

Say someone comes in with worn front teeth, a narrow palate, and a molar that's failing. At a lot of offices that becomes three referrals and three waiting rooms.

Here it becomes one conversation. Whether that molar needs a bone graft after it comes out. Whether an implant can go in the same day or needs to wait. Whether the airway and the bite are what wore the front teeth down in the first place. And what those front teeth should actually look like when we're finished. Then one treatment plan comes back to you — not four opinions you're left to reconcile on your own.

The same thing happens on bigger cases. A full-arch rehabilitation or a set of implant-supported dentures involves surgery, bite design, and esthetics all at once. Those are exactly the cases that go better when four people who already know you are in the room.

That's the whole reason we built the practice this way.

Legacy isn't just the name on the sign

The word "legacy" could easily be a marketing flourish. For us it's a standard we inherited: take the time, explain the options, and treat the person rather than the tooth.

"Choose Excellence" has been our phrase since the beginning — and it applies as much to how long we sit with you as it does to the materials we use.

We're grateful Kane County Magazine told the story, and more grateful to the patients across St. Charles, Geneva, Campton Hills, Elburn, and the Fox Valley who made it worth telling.

Been putting off a complicated dental question?

If you've been avoiding it because you didn't want to get bounced between three offices, give us a call or text. And if nerves are part of what's kept you away, oral sedation has helped a lot of our patients get through the door.
